This KabiCare website is made available and sponsored by Fresenius Kabi Australia Pty Limited together with Fresenius Kabi SwissBioSim GmbH. It is managed and coordinated by the program coordinators, Co-Med Pty Ltd. ABN 31 125 761 757.

If you use this website, we will collect and use personal information about you. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We need to ensure that personal data is appropriately handled and protected. On this page you can find out what data is collected, why we collect it and how we do this.

We collect your personal data in 2 ways:

  • Data you actively provide yourself, by entering data in the system during the registration process or completing questionnaires and data fields on the website
  • Data that is collected during your use of the website by means of cookies

We collect the following data about you

  1. Your email address and your password
    • Your disease type
    • Your activity on the site, through a software called Google Analytics : how long you stayed, which sites you clicked
  2. Your IP address, and with that your location (country and city)
  3. The website that directed you to our site

We collect the above information to:

  1. allow you to login into the page
  2. enable individualising the content, allow you to obtain adequate information related to your disease type and provide you with coaching
  3. present the website optimised to the device you are using with all its functions
  4. allow us to optimise our website in the future

We will not use the information as a basis for contacting you further, unless you have given us your explicit consent.

We collect the information if you have consented to us to collect the data as indicated on the login page and the cookie banner. Furthermore, because we have a legitimate interest, in particular to ensure the proper functioning of the KabiCare Website and to improve our website services, the protection of the integrity of the Website, our system, and as well you as a user.

We make use of other organisations to make the website available to you. In some cases, these organisations have access to parts or all your data to perform the tasks they are contracted to do so. The organisations that support us are:

  1. Co-Med Pty Ltd, Suite C7, Level 1, Viking Building, 30 – 36 O’Dea Avenue Waterloo NSW 2017.
  2. JHL Digital, Level 5, Eden Park Drive, Macquarie Park North Ryde NSW 2113.

We do not share the information with other organisations, unless legally required to do so.

We store your data for different periods:

  • All Cookie data is stored until the session closes: see our cookie statement
  • Your data contained within your user profile is stored for one year after your last login. All data related to you will be deleted from the KabiCare CRM
  • If your account is deleted after 12 months of inactivity then you will need to obtain a new access code to re-register on KabiCare

We will process your Personally Identifiable Information (PII)-Personal Information where necessary to comply with our obligations under local data protection laws and regulations.

If we intend to use your Personal Information that we have collected for a different purpose other than the purpose disclosed to you, we will provide you with information about the secondary purpose and with any other information necessary to ensure fair and transparent processing prior to such use.

You have the following rights with regard to the Personal Information we control about you, subject to applicable exceptions, under the local data protection laws and regulations:

  • The right to request confirmation of whether Fresenius Kabi processes Personal Information relating to you, and if so, to request a copy of that Personal Information;
  • The right to request that Fresenius Kabi corrects or updates your Personal Information that is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated;
  • The right to request that Fresenius Kabi delete your Personal Information in certain circumstances provided by law;
  • The right to request that Fresenius Kabi restrict the use of your Personal Information in certain circumstances, such as while Fresenius Kabi considers another request that you have submitted (including a request that Fresenius Kabi make an update to your Personal Information);
  • The right to request that we export your Personal Information in a usable electronic format to another company, where technically feasible;
  • The right to object to processing of your Personal Information based on Fresenius Kabi’s legitimate interests at any time, upon which Fresenius Kabi will no longer process the data, unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for our processing that override the interests, rights, and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves the purpose of asserting, exercising, or defending legal claims; and
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time, where Fresenius Kabi is processing your Personal Information based on your consent.

As a pharmaceutical and medical device company, Fresenius Kabi does not sell nor receive any form of remuneration for the transmission of your Personal Information. Where Fresenius Kabi does disclose your Personal Information to third parties, the disclosure is made for specified purposes directly related to the delivery of a needed service. Our third-party partners are not permitted to use your Personal Information in any manner other than what is necessary to fulfill the services requested.

In order to verify your identity, we may require you to provide us with Personal Information prior to accessing any records containing Personal Information about you.

We have put in place appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable legal requirements to provide adequate protections for your Personal information. We implement and maintain appropriate organisational, technical, and administrative security measures designed to safeguard your Personal Information against unauthorised access, destruction, loss, alteration, or misuse. We evaluate and update these measures on an ongoing basis and ensure reasonable security measures are deployed consistent with industry standards. However, no Personal Information system can be 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your Personal Information.

We retain your Personal Information for as long as we have a relationship with you or for as long as legally required. When deciding how long to keep your Personal Information after our relationship with you has ended, we consider our legal and regulatory obligations and internal Personal Information management policies. For example, we may retain records to investigate or defend against potential legal claims or where required by law. Where we retain data, we do so in accordance with any limitation periods and records retention obligations that are imposed by applicable laws and regulations.

Following 11 months of inactivity, you will be notified via email that your user profile will be deleted in one month if your account is not accessed. All data related to you will be deleted from the KabiCare CRM

Alternatively, we store the data until requested. You may opt out at any time via email or phone.

We will process your Personally Identifiable Information (PII)-Personal Information where necessary to comply with our obligations under local data protection laws and regulations.

If we intend to use your Personal Information that we have collected for a different purpose other than the purpose disclosed to you, we will provide you with information about the secondary purpose and with any other information necessary to ensure fair and transparent processing prior to such use.
